HIS
PHILOSOPHY

ENKISHON NATAANA means "PROSPERITY
THAT IS NEAR."
OUR MISSION:
Enkishon Nataana is a community based non-profit
development agency based in Kiserian, Kajiado District in Kenya
that works to identify, nurture and develop individual talent
among the Maasai youth in Kajiado district Kenya.
Our
main objective is geared towards helping these youth and their
families establish and live better lives.
Enkishon Nataana seeks to narrow and in fact close the gap that
separates many of our Maasai people from the rest of our Kenyan
society.
Our organization shall with the support and involvement of well
wishers, donor agencies, school heads and Community leaders promote
and make good use of innovative ideas, to give direction to Maasai
youth.
Enkishon Nataana is an advocate for responsibly eradicating poverty,
elimination of illiteracy, and the improvement of the health and
living conditions of the Maasai people.
In 2006 to 2010 - Enkishon Nataana shall facilitate the
following:
•
Seek individual and corporate support in the
establishment and delivery of education scholarships for secondary
and University education.
•
Encourage and promote gender balance in giving
equal opportunity for girls in all areas.
•
Through forums in schools and community workshops,
Enkishon Nataana shall seek to eradicate retrogressive Cultural
practices such as girl circumcision or Female Genital Mutilation
and early marriage for girls.
•
We shall seek to enlighten the youth on the
dangers of drug abuse, sexuality and the advantages of good
moral behavior.
There is hope for millions of African people, and no less
for the Maasai who live in dire conditions of health, poverty
and illiteracy. Change can only be realized with the combined
efforts of individuals, corporations and organizations willing
to come together with a common agenda for advancement of the Maasai!
